Every year, a single girl from every high school in Japan is chosen to become a "princess". The best students from around Tokyo are then selected to take part in a "confession" tournament, the Tokyo Yamanote Boys. This is a tournament of royal love in which the boys must confess to the princess. The one she chooses will be crowned "Prince", and legend has it that the Prince and Princess are guaranteed an eternally happy future thanks to this event.
