Stainless Steel (UK) (1986) - Amstrad CPC - Action

Ricky Steel is a feared renegade with a mechanical arm for firing bullets, and his A101-class Nightwind car, which is both armoured and amphibious. He lives in a world inspired by Mad Max, but Dr Vardos has sent a horde of androids to destroy him. The game is divided into four parts. You start on foot and have to work your way up the level. Helicopters and other enemies must be shot down or avoided. You then get into your vehicle and drive up the screen, facing the same hazards. Level 2 involves attacking submarines with bombs. The final challenge is to track down and kill Vardos. The scanner at the bottom of the screen is essential for spotting approaching enemies. You have a limited shield and limited fuel, which can be recharged by collecting fuel rings.
