Shadow of the Bear, The (UK) (1985) - Amstrad CPC - Adventure, Survival

Shadow of the Bear is a game set in Siberia, Russia. You are the pilot of a spy plane and have crashed there. You must avoid capture and escape to safety in China, avoiding detection by enemy troops and fighting off the cold. Played from a first-person perspective the game presents a fixed screen of an environment and the cursor keys are used to move in a direction where a new location is drawn. Typical adventure commands are then entered through text to examine the environment, pick up and use items. There are no puzzles to solve, the main focus is on maintaining energy and heat reserves.
